2025 NSW Ricochet Open Singles

Event summary provided by competitor Roberta Flint
The NSW Ricochet Open wrapped up today with a Bo3 final between club mates Ray Chapman and David Scott. The conditions were variable, with an East Coast Low bringing rain and strong winds to Mackey Park for much of the morning.
Ray played a solid game 1, benefiting from being 'on' for his long roquets. David on the other hand was not making many long roquets, so was not able to respond effectively to the challenges set. Game 2 saw a tighter contest, with the commentary team excited as time approached thinking there was only a 1 hoop difference after David ran H6. Unfortunately for David the clips told a different story and he was still 2 behind, with no time to catch up as the conditions of play had a stop on the bell provision.
Congratulations to Ray who won 16/8 & 15/13. Commiserations to David, runner-up for the second year in a row.
Also the live stream of this event was a world first for RC and made possible from a grant from the Office for Sport.
