Advantage GC Target Scores
This page consolidates information for implementing the Advantage GC Target Scores handicapping system in a carnival/tournament.
The current tables and forms from the WCF are dated 2026, and have been obtained from Croquet England's website at this link.
'Playing to Advantage'
These presentation notes explain how to use the charts and tables that form the documentation of the system.

Presentation notes - 'Playing to Advantage'.
Step 1: Working out Target Score Ratios from player Handicaps
Use this table to determine Target Hoops required by each player depending on their handicap:
- Target Scores Table - Hoop Ratios required by Stronger/Weaker player.
- Presentation notes - refer to pages 11 and 13 for Singles players ratio information; refer to page 14-17 for Doubles team ratios.
Step 2: Score Sheets
Score sheets have been pre-prepared for the most common Target Score ratio combinations (see links below).
Select the appropriate scoresheet for each pairing of Singles & Doubles game participants.
Player [A] side of the sheet is always the stronger player.
Scorers are to circle hoops for each player (Player [A] side or Player [B] side) as they progress through the game towards their Target Score.
If a game times out before a player/team has achieved their Target Score, the visual arrangement of scored hoops increments, with the associated Scoring Percentages, will assist scorers, referees and players to determine a winner - or in some instances, if the game is tied and therefore another hoop to be played.
Information from the Scoring Percentage Table for unfinished Advantage games has been included on the score sheets, for convenience.
The scoring fraction Percentage can be noted on the score sheet to confirm the winner of the game. This can assist the Tournament Manager with entering percentages achieved on Croquet Scores.
Step 3: Completing Player Index Cards
Refer to the WCF instructions for Adv GC - Completing Handicap Card 2026 (R2).
Step 4: Entering data to Croquet Scores
